Type Locality and Naming

Along the Shing River, Central Tajikistan. A.S. Shadchinen in 1970 (500) in the volume of upper Silurian-lower Devonian. D.A. Starshinin (1994) used this name for lower Devonian terrigenous-carbonate deposits in the Chumkartau Mountains (460, p.99).

Lithology and Thickness

Dolomites, dolomitic limestones with layers of quartz sandstones, gravels, conglomerates, siltstone (aleurolites). Thickness about 900 m.
